Josh Trank’s upcoming 2012 film, Chronicle for the very first time in the history of this genre chooses an altogether different strategy that focuses on portraying the actual impact on a human being, when injected with paranormal powers.
As we sit back to watch Chronicle online, we realize Josh’s attempt to reflect the way dull, unsuccessful and ordinary human lives are affected when showered with supernormal powers that render them more powerful than the rest of their planet-mates.
Here the tale revolves around the lives of three school-going teenagers, who stumble upon a crater containing a substance that empowers them paranormally. Andrew, along with his cousin Matt and school-mate Steve are gifted with powers of invulnerability, telekinesis and flight by this crystalline rock that they come across in the woods.
A Chronicle download depicts Andrew’s life grow gloomier as he wages through conflicts at home and is troubled by bullies outside. Troubled by the world, the moment Andrew is presented with paranormal powers, he decides to tread on the wrong path to teach the world, a lesson.
The manner in which Andrew is pulled back to sanity by Matt and Steve and is made to realize the importance of acting responsible when blessed with such powers is what the film primarily focuses on.
